P930 LUNAR LANDER

I recently participated in the Pulsar Modular contest, which gave me the opportunity to try several of your plugins. I was already impressed by how analog and musical they sound, but one plugin in particular really stood out to me: P930 Lunar Lander.

What I love about Lunar Lander is how much it combines into a single, very intuitive processor. The ability to switch between delay → reverb, reverb → delay, and parallel routing makes it incredibly easy to experiment with different spatial relationships without having to build complicated routing externally.

The built-in P42 Climax saturation, together with the modulation, filtering, ducking and gating possibilities, makes it much more than a conventional delay/reverb. All these elements interact with each other, and I find that the processing integrates remarkably well with the source rather than simply sounding like an effect placed on top of it.

I've been using it as an insert on very different sources — acoustic guitar, piano, snare, bass and vocals — and I'm constantly surprised by how naturally it can enhance the character and depth of the source, even with very subtle settings.

For me, that's what makes Lunar Lander so special. The combination of analog-style sound, internal saturation, flexible routing and dynamic processing makes it feel almost like an entire effects system in one plugin. I honestly haven't come across another processor that gives me this particular combination of possibilities while remaining so immediate and musical.

It has quickly become one of my favourite Pulsar Modular plugins, and I'm very glad that the contest gave me the opportunity to discover it.

P930 Lunar Lander is simply a joy to use.

What I love about it is how quickly it can make a sound come alive. It adds brightness, movement, space, and a kind of musical sparkle that immediately makes the track feel more inspiring. It is not just a reverb or delay effect to me; it feels more like a creative spice that helps reveal where the production could go.

I have started using it very early in the process, even at the demo stage. Instead of waiting until the mix is almost finished, I insert Lunar Lander when the track is still taking shape, because it helps me imagine the final form of the song. A simple part can suddenly feel more three-dimensional, more emotional, and closer to the world I want the finished track to inhabit.

The sound has a beautiful sense of glow. It can make elements shine without becoming harsh, and it adds atmosphere without making the arrangement feel vague or washed out. That balance is what makes it so enjoyable. It gives me ideas, not just effects.

For me, P930 Lunar Lander is the kind of plugin that makes the production process more fun. It encourages experimentation, adds color and depth, and helps turn a rough demo into something that already hints at the finished record.

It is an inspiring tool, and I can see myself reaching for it whenever I want a track to start glowing.

I always reach for this first if I need plate or delay duties on the mix, and I can assure you the sound is delicious to my ears. I used to only use UAD plugins for reverb and delay, but this thing sounds way better and worth the price of admission.....

When I close my eyes; I feel like I'm back at Funky Slice Studios Brooklyn N.Y. mixing a tune on that, now, vintage mci console with the plasma frequency display, with my mentor Yoitchi Watanabi. The P930 Lunar Lander is my absolute go-to on guitars — and often vocals too. It behaves like an analog unit but goes so much further, with every control having real purpose and feel. A stunning-sounding plugin you’ll keep reaching for!

The P930 is a creative powerhouse! Lots of great musical options right in front of you! The saturation is greatly appreciated, as is the ducking/gating! Easy to make sources sound more 3-D and full.

This has probably been my most used PM plugin. I just love the ease of use, plus the sound of the delay and reverb. I don't understand why ducking is not added to more delays and reverbs. Lunar Lander spoiled me with that feature, not to mention that the sounds usually blend perfectly within a mix. Love it.

In a world echoing with a new gimmicky reverb every week and more vintage plates than your grandmother's house, why do you need this one? It seduces. The lush plate sound alone is simply gorgeous. Instead of adding a "silkiness" or "sheen" to your sound, it pulls your ears inside and makes everything huge, more high-fidelity, more real. The delays and saturation, rather than having the digital grime of space echo plugins, hit all the right marks. You don't think you need this. But children, don't demo casually.

Wonderful delay. Lots of flavor. Stands out from the competition.

It's a bit more than just another delay. It's a delay, reverb and saturation unit in one. All working very well together, from subtle to extreme, very flexible. The ducking feature is also very nice and not too common in delay or reverb plugins.

I was sold after a few days of testing. Can get you into dub land nicely too.

This delay has a remarkable ability to seamlessly blend into the track—it really melts into the mix.
The plate reverb is also excellent, adding a beautiful sense of space to the sound.
Both effects contribute a strong "glue" that helps unify the mix.

I love the P930 Lunar Lander! As a guitar player I obsess over my reverb and delay tones. My direct-In single flow to recreate the sound of an amp being recorded in a room relies heavily on the Lunar Lander.

My guitar signal goes out from a Pre-amp pedal direct in to my interface. I use the P42 as a Power Amp simulator, Genome for Cab IR's and the P930 as the finishing touch for the essential Reverb and Analog Delay.

I was fortunate to be a part of the beta team for this plugin. It's a delay and reverb plugin with a focus on creating unique spatial effects.
With features like granular processing, pitch shifting, and modulation, the P930 Lunar Lander goes beyond traditional delay and reverb sounds to create otherworldly soundscapes. What I like most about it is that it incorporates the P42 circuit's saturation feature.

I absolutely love delays! P930 Lunar Lander just so much more! My favorite analog delay is my Erica Synths Zen Delay. I remember back in the day I had the opportunity to get a MF 104 and I passed on it thinking that I could just get one later etc... we'll that never happened. Once I heard the Zen Delay, I felt that I was close to having that feeling again. When I heard the announcement of the P930 and the concept behind it, I got really excited! Now that I have it, I'm soooo satisfied and still excited. Not only for the sound, but for all of the creative possibilities I can get lost in, as well as it's pure analog warm sound. It's really that good!!

Whoa, another FANTASTIC creation from the legendary Pulsar Modular. With the aid of this effects plugin, I can achieve the proper amount of space in my mix without having to add more plugins to the FX return track. The P930 Lunar Lander has the real sound right there, complete with high-quality delay and reverb, as well as an excellent feature set.

This has recently became my favourite Delay&Reverb!

The original Lunar Lander plug in was incredible, the delay reminded me of my Moog Delay pedal! the Plate was just beautiful and a bonus. Then we get the free update, man its taken on a whole new level of usefulness and creativity.

I love how the saturation produce and very useful to make character. Reverb and delay is absolutely worth the money.

Not sure why I hadn't checked this out before but downloaded the trial and was sold by what I heard, thanks to the Hotter Than July sale I picked it up just a few days ago.
Done many times by others but few manage to capture the vital essence of plate reverbs &/or BBD delays with the characteristic quality that I now recognise with all PM plug ins. Many of the previous reviews talk about it being organic, alive, natural, rich, depth, clean, saturated, vibe ... and yes, it can be all of those - so, it has now become my default for songwriting & production. Next in line will be P565 .... my PM collection is growing!

a killer delay and reverb packed into one.

If you are a collector of delay reverbs you will want it. and if you don't have many you will want this too in your arsenal.

Its very natural sounding like hardware and is a great way to create and add space in your mix.

One of the nicest sounding space boxes on the market. Did a great job in cleaning my delay and reverb plugins folder. Can be used for subtly blending or can go full BOC mode with very dense ambience. Have built-in saturator and ducker. Reverb and delay positions in chain can be swapped. Plate reverb 3 sounds so freaking smooth. All I can say is bravo!
Of course, PM plugins seems expensive these days, but some of them already saved me a lot on buying new toys.

Lunar Lander is a toolbox of ambience and vibe. It contains probably the most authentic analog BBD (bucket brigade device) delay, three types of plate reverb, and a Class A or A/B output stage.

The analog delay has all the warm, warble-y (if you want it), and dirty repeats as well as the features to control it. Modulation controls help you dial in movement, Sync of course does what it says, and the BBD control takes you from an ultra clean repeat to a very vintage greasy saturation. It is hard to tell this from my actual high dollar analog units. Being that Pulsar Modular regularly update their plugins and add features, I'm personally hoping for Ping Pong delay to be added.

The plate reverb is lush and there are three variations. It has a bandpass EQ feature which will narrow the response. If I had a complaint, it would be that it would benefit from separate high and low controls. The character of the reverb is superb and I use it all the time on guitar and drums. The stereo field is great and it adds a lot of depth and vibe.

The output section adds subtle saturation from either Class A or A/B options. I use it to add warmth and color as though I was running my signal into a tube stage or amp. Overall, I'd recommend this as a first venture into Pulsar Modular plugins. P42 Climax being my favorite.

I took the opportunity to try the Lunar Lander which I had been eyeing for a long time because of the quality of the plug-ins from Pulsar Modular and the possibility of having a 40 day trial period with no limit, is a good way to get an idea.
The interface (which can be resized) is really nice and I really liked the pedal side of it, being a guitarist I felt really comfortable with it and I used it mainly on acoustic guitars and instruments. Not surprisingly the plug in is quite easy to handle you will find :

- A BBD (analog voiced) delay
- A plate reverb modelled on a Lexicon model offering three plate sizes
- A tube saturation

Concerning this last one, the Class A allows to have a low distortion while the Class A/B goes much more inside offering a more saturated signal, it works very well.
I'm not going to be original but once the plug in is engaged we get a very precise sound, a vintage tone.. organic, going from a soft sound to a thicker one thanks to the saturation and there the "magic happens", there is a real harmonic richness that we find on hardware with character and a warm sound on the Delay as well as on the Reverb (on the latter don't neglect the Hard Over button which allows to deepen the settings and to obtain a perfect reverb).
There is also a button that allows you to route the delay into the reverb or the reverb into the delay, which opens up the plug in to even more creative effects.

I really enjoyed this plug in, the all in one sounding plug in, I must also mention the low CPU overhead :) (thank U).
The only small drawback is that there is only one type of reverb (I like spring reverbs haha :)
To tell you the truth, I waited for a special offer to buy it but it's really worth it.
Try it and see for yourself.

Lunar Lander is definitely one of the better-sounding delays I own. If you want old-school lofi, this is the place to be. My only complaint is some "scratchy" noise (sounds like unintentional digital artifacts) which becomes apparent on certain material. Once this is fixed, my rating would be 5/5 stars for the product's quality.

Fantastic delay, reverb. Brings each element perfectly into the mix with little effort.
I also use it as a saturator, a marvel.
The sound is rich, authentic, it has become an indispensable tool and I can no longer imagine mixing without it.

Great sound and quick to manoeuvre. Though at times I'l lead myself down a rabbit hole as I explore the many movement and tone options which can be generated......... discipline required, or maybe not?

Fantastic plugin! It sounds very organic and alive, and it's easy to get absorbed in playing with the combination of great sounding delay, reverb and saturation.
Note that in the current version v2.1.3, the plugin does not remember the plugin window size if it is changed - after closing the plugin, it always opens in the same default size (at least with the 64 bit VST3 version on Win10), which is a bit annoying. Also, the GUI design appears to be a lot less streamlined/polished compared to the newer Pulsar Modular plugins. Fortunately, there seems to be an update in the works with a GUI upgrade (and additional features as well). This is a great thing with Pulsar Modular actually - even older releases don't get abandoned but are still improved and maintained, and updates are usually free.

We have been trying the demo out for a couple of days and just bought it. The sound is lush, rich, wide and smooth. One of the great software reverbs out there!

The most outstanding delay I've ever heard!!!

Finishing out my long overdue reviews - as with the rest of Pulsar's plugins, really satisfying analog sounding results, fun to experiment with.

This plugin, like the others Pulsar Modular makes is top notch. The sound quality is awesome. The user interface has a bit of a learning curve and it does take some tweaking to dial in the sound you are looking for, which is why I didn't rate this plugin higher. If you want that lush, deep, warm classic plate reverb and BBD delay, this thing has it.

I originally noticed this plugin with a really cool GUI and high price tag come across the gearslutz New Product alert when it was originally released. There was an excellent youtube demo done by a British guitarist that showcased the musical and immersive sound capabilities of this tool.

Sound - I own many delay plugins and have a few small bits of kit, and this tool is hands sound the most musical sounding plugin delay in my toolbox. Even though you can completely wash out a synth, or voice, compared to other ITB tools it doesn't get pushed back or smeared in a negaltive way to allow the sonic personality of what an artists intention can be. So many times I'd imagine creating sound scapes or utilizing creative delay in the past and when soloed the sound works, but falls apart in the mix. LunarLander does no such thing.

You can break down each individual component section and consider this tool as 3-5 differnt unique plugins in one set. Sometimes only using the modulation and a little drive after another developers delay, or reverb to add organic movement, but you don't want to use the onboard BBD or reverb processors. Speaking of the reverb, highly advise automating and modulating those parameters, and is the only ITB reverb where you can completely wash out a sound but doesn't fall apart in the mix.

The delay portions are very fun an become apart of the sound itself and when combined with all of the other sections of the plugin (even sometimes some parameters may be extremely subtle) make you want to play through the thing for hours. Anything you throw at it, hit record and really see what this thing is made of, it's made to be played and not be a static "set and forget" type of tool, but it can be that too.

GUI - Normally I'm not into skeumorphic design, and mainly like very minimal, flat, and vector based GUIs. LunarLander is a really beautiful blend of showcasing what the tool sounds like from a visual aspect - bad ass. At first glance it seemed a bit foreign, well, since it was a new tool from a new developer to me it took no time at all to put the tool through it's paces. Everything is logically laid out and the only omission would be tool-tips for beginners that don't want to crack the manual (unless I missed that). Wasn't a bother as the manuals written by the developer explain everything without too much fuss. Basically spend 10 minutes with the manual and play with some knobs and kiss a good two hours of very fun experimentation.

Overall - Well worth the price of admission and really has a 'hardware' musical tone and creative ability. Extremely excited to hear this developers take on compression, as if it's any indication of my two new purchases - LunarLander and P42, I specifically didn't want the discount and figured the developer would put the additional resources to creating new tools faster. This developer is one to watch and listen for now and in the future.

I certainly don’t hear any annoying metallic or digital artefacts from Lunar Lander! It is just as good as I can hear on countless records I love! Pure! Pure reverb on any settings (1, 2 or 3).
This app (I use iOS version) BBD dial really brings joy to my ears, can hear a saturation from input gain too! Great piece of software for music enthusiasts!!! 

Lunar Lander is a brilliant concept pairing a custom plate reverb with an analog style delay. You can swap signal path between the two (Very Nice!) they both add an otherworldly feel to the sound and can be used to add character and create interest to a dry sound OR completely warp a sound or even a percussive track. LL has a tempo sync feature, allows various rhythmic patterns (dotted/triplet) in addition to a mod sync which is almost synth like. I love this device, hard not to over use it :)

I am speechless. 5 stars (only because there is no 6 star rating). It sounds like it is really in my rack.

I don't know what's behind the secret formula of this plugin but I eded up using Lunar Lander on everything, from drum and synths to the final mix of my tracks.

I have tons of delay, reverber, saturator but this one is so easy to use and so light on the cpu.

I love the thickness of the sound and the character that it add. True grit.
The app recently received a lot of free upgrade and from what I see the dev i
s really responsive to user base requests which is for me a real plus in this crowded plugins market.

Sicne there is a free 20 days trial all I can say is download yourself and listen with your ears. Pure bliss.

Ever since the P900 came out, I've been watching this company continue growing. I watched Sami Rabia's review of that beast, and I couldn't believe the quality I was hearing, it is the equivalent to hardware and more, thanks to Pulsar's amazing coders- incredible work with every product so far. I beta tested and have Lunar Lander, let me tell you now, it is one of the lushest plate, sat, and delay trio FX processing VST I have used to date. This is definitely unique. The plate has 3 size settings and all of them sound good on most everything! Ambient, rock, jazz, film, etc., it checks off most boxes needed. BBD is colorful and warm, not to mention transparent with everything you throw at it in a mix. The saturation is pleasantly crispy. It deserves it's rating, at least for me. Download and try it for yourself, won't be disappointed. Though the price is a breaking point for some, and I get that. Hopefully there are sales, you never know!

This is a very expensive effects unit. What I will say is that this plugin sounds really, really good.
It has most of the things I want in a "spatial" type effects send chain. A distortion (or "grit") section, delay, and reverb (in this case, a very spaced out "plate-ish" sounding verb). Every one of these sections sounds excellent. The character you get from the amplifier section serves to both liven up the reverb while also allowing it to blend into the song, almost paradoxically. This, what I like to call "push/pull" effect, is a sign of a good saturation. The reverb I think I read somewhere is based on a Lexicon? I have no idea about that but I know it sounds excellent and gives a sense of space without necessarily making it sound like you're in a distinct room. It just gives the sound a generally lush spacey vibe that sounds awesome. If that's what you're looking for, and the price doesn't make you flinch, then you should try out the demo of Lunar Lander.

I'm a big fan of character plugins with a simple, yet effective parameter set, and Lunar Lander doesn't disappoint in that regard. It has 3 clearly-defined sections: Analog Delay, Plate Reverb, and Input/Output gain (with selectable saturation circuitry).

The unit as a whole has a very rich sound, which can be dialed back with wet/dry controls in both the Delay and Reverb sections.

Pros:
-The aforementioned rich sound. It's hard to get a bad sound out of it regardless of what is fed into it.
-Intuitive controls and nothing wasted in the GUI.
-Ducking control, which is crucial for deep-sounding effects like this, as clears a lot of space to allow the original signal to breathe.

Cons:
-Would've appreciated some resonant filters on the low and high end similar to PSP Echo. It allows for quick and extreme dub feedback on both ends of the sonic spectrum
-Relatively high price.

Surprisingly versatile as a designer effect tool.
There’s time you’ll want to go intuitively instead of having the most tweak able machine.
Here, the sum of his parts is greater than the whole.
Comparing the plate effect with others specialized ones surprised me.
It really sounded good to my ears, better in some cases then some dedicated counterparts.
It’s gelling well to the source.

Comparing the delay with some others delays wasn’t that obvious.
But couple with the saturation module, it definitely shines as a character effect.
As a chorus effect, modulation plus saturation plus short delay sounded quite good in my tests too.
Note that it doesn’t use a lot of CPU power plus no latency behaviour while giving high quality results.
Seems to be pretty well coded.

What would make it totally awesome (to me at least)?
Modularity, like the synth its coming from.
An LFO, an attenuator, a Moog filters and a mixer.
Respectively, the 924: low frequency oscillator (without cv input), the 995 attenuator, the 904-A Transistor Ladder Low Pass and the CP10 “clean” mixer.
Using patch cords like his big brother.

I just love Lunar Lander so much. Using it on the melody parts of my Trap Beats, immediately gave me instant gratification. The combination from Delay, Saturation & Plate is very unique and not seen in many other Effects plugins. The sound quality is very professional and easy to use taking you from totally spaced out to more subtle settings- with both giving great results.
I did find good use and lots of pleasure using this awesome plugin.
I can highly recommend Lunar Lander to everyone who wants to add some spaced out unique flavors to their Sounds.

Someone recommended me to try Lunar Lander for huge 80s reverb and wow… it is remarkable how far software has come. I’m getting hardware vibes from this thing and the saturation from driving the amp simply sounds amazing. Very effective plugin for adding depth and a great flavor to have in the toolbox especially for tracking since it’s zero-latency!

LL is amazing! Loving the real analog vibe-it sits in the track (not on top of it) and is so easy to get a great sound from. Ambient and dirty lo-fi as you want or clean and smooth it's all here. The ducking feature makes it unbeatable!

Amazing 3-in-1 fx plugin. Add depth and color to any source. Simple but powerful effects processor, with low latency and light CPU footprint.

I am a delay junkie. I truly did not want to like Lunar Lander. It is inevitable. truly gorgeous.

Did i need another delay and reverb? Well, the answer was yes since Lunar Lander is really outstanding for me.
While Lunar Lander does not offer millions of different algorithms, it is just amazing where it should be. The BBD delay is just so organic and full of life, like no other for me. The plate reverb is a very high quality sounding reverb and fits very well with the delay. On top, the saturations rounds that up in a perfect way for me.
Come to think of it, I find it glues so well (since it also seems to work at near zero latency). It can sound so creamy and smears in such a beautiful way, that it even makes boring sounds really sing!
Lunar Lander has gone into my very top FX plug-ins for sure.
To top it off, this plugin has minimal impact on cpu while still sounding fantastic.
It just ticks perfect with my brain!

I have long been a user and fan of the P900, which sounds better than any other virtual modular. It is fantastic to see further development and the release of its lovely plate reverb and BBD delay as Lunar Lander. It partners my Volca Modular, which lacks a delay, perfectly, producing warm and fat tones. It's great to be able to use these algorithms on my Windows laptop as well as my Mac desktop at long last.

Man, Lunar Lander sounds amazing

So I downloaded Lander with no expectations and was blown away. Like everyone, I have far too many delays but this sounds like hardware, dynamic and organic. I was riveted for hours while demoing. Made my other BBD plugins sound flat and lifeless. My new go to for psychedelic guitar.

Pulsarmodular’s Lunar Lander BBD is FAT FAT FAT sounding and one of my absolute must have delay and reverb plugins. I don’t think there is another plugin in the world like it and whatever magic is under the hood it seems to be the same they used for Pulsarmodular’s amazing modular soft synth.
