Q Sahara

Overview

Drive it. Shape it. Move on.

Sahara is an input-driven compressor designed for quick decisions and musical results. It simplifies compression tweaking so you can focus on the sound.

There is no threshold to chase and no millisecond math to interpret. You drive the signal into Sahara, set the ratio, and let its program-dependent behavior follow the music.

Input-Driven Compression
A fixed internal threshold means compression is controlled by how hard you drive the input, just like classic analog workflows.

Musical Timing
Attack and release are program-dependent, adapting to phrasing, groove, and dynamics instead of fixed time values.

Ratio with Character
Ratio and knee work together. Lower ratios stay smooth and forgiving; higher ratios add firmness and control without limiter behavior.

Designed for Modern Sessions
Ultra-low CPU usage lets you run Sahara across large projects without compromise.

Focused by Design
No unnecessary controls, no distractions. Sahara does one thing and does it well.

Sahara delivers instant results, stays responsive to your material, and lets you mix by ear instead of by numbers.

  1. This is such an amazing and organic piece, it’s got a wonderful tight compressor circuit tone, & It’s sooo easy to use,
I am enjoying using this tool, Because it has a nice analog reaction, and its very smooth + light on CPU.
    Thank you Pulsar Modular 🙂

  2. Another home run for PM. This one is a lot easier to handle than the other PM compressors, perfect for quick adjustments and light on CPU. If I want more options or want to spend a little more time, I go with Abyss (which is my all-time favorite comp now), but that one’s quite heavy, and I have to print the audio soon, as it adds up quickly. Sahara lets you easily dial in the sound you like, and you can leave it on a couple of tracks until you decide to go into more detail, or just leave it as it is. Sounds great on vocals too, gives that little push up front. Recommended!

  3. I can’t tell you how much I’ve loved this compressor over the past month. I’ve mainly been using P11 since mid last year, and I don’t think I’ve bought another plugin compressor since. So when this came out, I was very interested. This thing is mojo in a box. I love the 500 series design. I don’t often put the same compressor on busses, as they tend to build up, but this one just works. Drums, bass, guitars, vocals — it just works on everything. Wish I was smart enough to explain the difference between this and P11, but I can’t. I just know where to use either, and that’s it. Great plugin, especially for that price.

  4. Very nice compressor, easy to use, with simple controls. Very intuitive and cheap for a PM plugin.
Not sure whether or not I will buy it, though. For those who don’t have enough compressors and/or want to add a different color, this is highly recommended.

  5. Stellar five stars.
