Every band in the Fairuz runs through a discrete op-amp circuit. The same class of circuit that defined the sound of console recordings for decades. Push it and you get warmth, density, harmonic weight. Back off and the signal stays clean.

What makes the Fairuz different: turn a band off and the op-amp stays in circuit. You get harmonic color at a specific frequency without drawing any EQ curve at all. No boost needed. No tonal shift. Just saturation where you want it.

The Contour bands bake in the Pultec trick automatically. Boost a frequency and a complementary dip manages the surrounding area for you. One move, focused results. Contour X2 pushes it further.

In v2, the internal circuit has been reworked. Stereo imaging is dramatically improved, putting the Fairuz squarely into mastering territory. The oversampling has been rebuilt for cleaner transient behavior. The Contour curves have been recalibrated above 6 dB for deeper, more controlled boosts. And Dual Mono mode gives you true stereo hardware behavior on buses and groups.
