P422 Fairuz v2.1

Two changes you will hear, and a long list you will not.

• EQ Engine: HIGH and HI-MID hold their true curve shape up to the top of the hearing range, identical at every sample rate.
• TREMOR: Smoother, more organic analog movement.
• Oversampling: Can be changed during playback without interrupting the audio. The engine restarts cleanly.
• Compatibility: Old presets and sessions recall exactly as they did before.

Alongside a long run of fixes across DAW behavior, preset handling, window sizing, and the interface. Full release notes

Already own Fairuz? v2.1 is a free update. Several of these fixes started as reports from owners, so thank you for sending them in. Download it from your account, or from the product page.

NEW TO FAIRUZ?

Two pieces of console history, in one EQ. From the discrete op-amp consoles: punch and harmonic density on every band, whether you move it or not. From the passive tube EQs: boosting and cutting the same frequency at once. Fairuz takes both further than the hardware could.

P422 Fairuz plugin interface

BAND SATURATION

Op-amp character at any frequency. Turn a band off and the op-amp stays in circuit. The harmonic color hardware EQs only give you when you boost hard, without drawing an EQ curve at all.

CONTOUR BANDS

Boost and cut, in one move. The trick engineers spent years replicating with two filters on the same frequency, built into a single band. Focused boost, automatic complementary dip, no congestion.

TRANSFORMERS

Voice in. Hammer out. The Voice input transformer sets the tonal stage. The Hammer output transformer adds body, density, and saturation. Drive shapes the tone before the EQ ever moves.

“It sounds very analog to me, without the analog hiss. With a smooth low end and a clean high end, it’s everything you want in an EQ.”
